I notice that if I use a background image on a revolution slide it takes a minute for the image to load and the slide to start moving. If I remove the background then the slide loads without any delay.
I need to have a background image on the home page and have one set for 960w x 710h. How do I get this image to appear in the home page? Right now all I’m able to do is see the top of the image. I just haven’t figured out the right combination in the home page settings. Or is this even possible? Do I have to use the slider for the background image?tia
October 25, 2013 at 17:39 #5119nusolutionsParticipantTalk about frustrating! Can I have a fixed image on the home page which allows me to use the slider for animated text? I don’t want any effect on the single home image as I only want to use to one single image. Right now as it stands if I use the slider with the image there’s an effect on it. If I use the fixed image I can’t figure out how to get it to work with the slider and use just animated text. If I use a fixed image and photoshop the text it looks like crap! See it here:

If I’m stuck with the fixed image let me know and I’ll just go from there.

October 26, 2013 at 02:45 #5145SQadminKeymasterHi, In our demo we set the Image to none from Sweetdate- HOmepage and selected our slider from the dropdown.
Maybe your image is too big?
You could use the slider in conjunction with the background image from Sweetdate – Buddypress if you have the same background in all slides and only add the animations in sliderHi there!!! I guess I’m trying to go for a consistent image with different animations. In the demo I see that the avatar wallpaper image slides in between slides. I guess I could go for that.
In regards to the image being too large what is the recommended size as I’m using 1030×710 in my demo site?
Also if I enable the slider after setting the background image the image no longer appears in the space. Instead it either moves to the top of the page. No matter what option I select in the Homepage settings the image will not display properly.
Obviously I’m missing something.

Another question is should I still be seeing the search form if I’m logged into the site?
October 26, 2013 at 19:45 #5194SQadminKeymasterI think the best way is to import a slider we provided in the demo content folder in the package downloaded from Themeforest.
In Sweetdate – Homepage set the Image to noneHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solution -
