I do not understand why there is a need for both username + full name in buddypress. For social sites like ours, it is mostly only relevant to add a username, and most people won’t reveal their real name.
Can you tell me how we can disable the need for a full name and only use the selected username?

Unfortunately, the plugin did not make any difference. Any other ideas? I think this is something the majority of Sweetdate users would like.Hi @Globetrekker, please note that this is the default buddypress structure and in some places you will need to edit the appropriate template files and change what you need. Please note that this requires some programming knowledge.
