Hello I was wondering if there is a way to have sample text within the Post Update box (ie. “Type Something Here…”.
Also is there a way to have the “Post Update” and “Attach Files” buttons to show with out having to click inside the box to expand it?

Use this little CSS snippet
COPY CODE#buddypress #whats-new-options {height: 40px;}
It should work.
If the Attach media button missing, go to rtMedia -> Settings -> Buddypress -> Set on for next options :
ON Enable media in profile
ON Enable media in group
ON Allow upload from activity streamCheers

April 15, 2015 at 19:38 #54656AndreiModeratorHi,
Taking in mind that you should have the kleo-child theme activated, please copy the file from inside the attached archive to the following location: “wp-content/themes/kleo-child/buddypress/activity/post-form.php”
I have modified the textarea tag, which is found at line 30, and I have added the placeholder attribute.
Let me know if it worked as it should.

I’m having this problem too, “Is there a way to have the “Post Update” and “Attach Files” buttons to show with out having to click inside the box to expand it?”
I tried the coding and setting up there, but didn’t working. Any solution? Thanks.

I want also to upload picture/videos/music without type anything on the post update box. Many thanks. 🙂
July 23, 2015 at 11:15 #69576AndreiModeratorIf you have the last version of our theme this is the default behavior.
Check our demo site: http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/members/Unfortunately that’s not possible, you should contact rtMedia support team for such feature ( the upload manager is a feature of the rtMedia plugin ).
Cheers
