How can one change the theme name so that the default one does not should in the source (http://www.domainname.com/wp-content/themes/kleo) without causing any serious issues?
Is it possible to change to your desired name and then revert back to the default when updating the theme during maintenance? Then after completing the update change back to the desired name again? Would there be any impact to doing this and if not what would be the best way to do it? Thanks.

You can change name folder as you wish, the only things you should be aware is style.css files from parent and child theme.
in Kleo folder (Parent) :
Theme URI: http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo -> rename kleo with your desired theme name : Theme URI: http://seventhqueen.com/themes/mythemenameIn child theme -> Template: kleo
Rename Kleo with your themename.
