I lost my styling for the buddypress menu bar when upgrading to the new theme.
1. All of my icons are now white and white on hover too. They used to be kind of gray and then white on hover.
Where do I change that?
2. Where do people create a Group? I don’t see a way to do that.
3. When I go to the Group page the message saying there are no groups has an odd styling. I’d like to know how to change the colors of the background and the text. Thanks for all your help!

June 12, 2015 at 19:39 #62441sharmstrModerator1 – Did you try clearing your cache?
2 / 3 – You create groups on the group directory page. Its whatever page you have setup in wp admin > settings > buddypress > pages. As an admin, you can create groups in WP Admin
4 – That’s standard buddypress stuff. Please search before asking: https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/guides/change-members-profile-landing-tab/Hi there!!! I set it so that anyone can create a group. Thanks for that link!
June 12, 2015 at 22:44 #62505sharmstrModeratorBuddyrpress needs a clean page. You cant add anything to the page. So instead of setting it to use the groups carousel page, set it to the default groupas page. If you dont have one, create a page called groups and save it without adding any content.

I used poedit to rename all my groups to Alliances but when I click on Alliances on the buddypress page it directs me to members/scottie_sirius/groups. Same with the link on my main nav toolbar. Can I change that on the buddypress toolbar? http://www.alterverse.com/alliances works correctly and shows the Create an Alliance link.
June 13, 2015 at 01:16 #62532ScotKinneyParticipantI think I see what happened. Somehow I used the buddypress Alliance link in my main nav toolbar. From the BuddyPress toolbar it should only show Alliances I belong to. If I want to create one I have to go to the main Alliance/Group page from the main navbar. So I’d say that’s a fix.
Thanks for your help,
