Hi,
Do you have any suggestions on how to improve the performance of my website. It runs super slow.
Here are some details about my website:
-WP version 4.2.3
-This is a fresh install, that I put up two days ago
-Active Plugins
-Alkismet
-BuddyPress
-K Elements
-Limit Login Attempts
-Paid Memberships Pro
-WooCommerce
-WPBakery Visual Composer
-Inactive Plugins
-Clef
-Go Daddy Quick Setup
-Revolution SliderActive Theme
-Kleo parent and child themes. Latest version. Just downloaded two days ago.
Inactive Themes
-Only default themes from 2013-2015Hosting Provider is GoDaddy.
As you can see, I haven’t installed much. Just the basics that came with the Kleo package, yet the website is very slow. Please let me know if you have an suggestions.

I, like you, have the latest version installed, and I also have many of the same plugins installed.
Plugins that I don’t have installed that you have are,-Limit Login Attempts and -Clef
But I have almost 3 times as much. I had a similar situation like you, but oddly enough, the problem that was making mine slow was the irony of having a cache plugin installed, WPSuperCache…errr something like that. After I got GoDaddy’s Level 3, because Deluxe just wasn’t hacking it, it ran a bit faster, but slower than I wanted. I deleted the caching plugin and get much better speeds. It could be faster, but the plugin was my major problem.
I guess what I am trying to say is make sure you have GoDaddy’s fastest plan for you and look at your plugins.
Just my two pennies worth here, but I would simply move to SiteGround. I was having massive issues with speed I was ranked 45/100 by Pingdom on my private test site, after the switch and some very basic config in the SiteGround settings I scored 95/100. It’s got free CDN too 😉
If this isn’t an option search caching in the forum there are tons of topics here that cover this in detail.
my site is super slow as well, and I am on digital ocean.. 8 gig of ram… sites is performing horrible
Kierans correct. Siteground does buddypress specific tuning on their servers. I’ve moved all my sites to them.
Godaddy is the WORST hosting company for WP/BP sites.
