One of the most terrifying things from a user’s point of view is to have to fill out a lengthy form. And good developers know this. Instead of a lengthy form to start with, they just require users to complete very basic info, like username, email and password; and in case of a dating site, date of birth to confirm age. Now once the user has signed up, they are more likely to provide additional information under something like “complete your profile”. This way, they are not discouraged from joining when they stare at the very long sign up form you have created. Is there a setting in your system to bypass these other fields on signup and then complete them later in “complete your profile” or “your profile is 30% complete…”?

    Thanks
