Hi
I started having a problem with the theme. My website started to freeze 4-5 times a day for about 10-15 minute. I contacted my hosting company and thy said that it was the theme or a plugin that made the problem. After some time i found out that it was the admin-ajax.php that is being sent when I or other edit their profil/page/post in front and backend.
How can I found out exactly what it is that does this in the theme and how can I fix it?
Thanks

Looking forward.Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionOctober 22, 2015 at 19:41 #83778AndreiModeratorHi,
It seems that everything is fine, if you have issues only in your wp admin area then maybe you have some plugin that have an intensive ajax interface. The ” admin-ajax.php ” file is the endpoint for all ajax requests made by all plugins or themes.
Also issues might rise if you’re using a cheap hosting plan with low resources, if this is the case maybe you should consider upgrading it.
If you can provide more details, or if you encounter any specific errors or have any relevant data from your hosting error logs, please get back to me with them and I’ll try to help you find out what are causing them.
Cheers

The problem comes in the admin area, but also when users change their profil infos and the website has to send a edit process with the admin-ajax.php.
The problem is not there all the time. It comes 4-5 times a day and then the website stalls and it end up with given everybody a error 500 (internal server error). After 5 minutes the website work fine again till the next time it happens.
I juse hostgator with the sheared server plan. What type of server/power do I need if I have to upgrade to a dedicated server?
thanks
October 22, 2015 at 21:09 #83791AndreiModeratorUsually 500 errors are generated by php memory usage limit. Please follow the following tutorial about how you can increase it: http://seventhqueen.com/blog/code-snippets/increase-php-memory-limit-in-wordpress.html
If you can’t do it by yourself be sure to contact your hosting support to help you increase it to at least 128Mb. As well, if you do have traffic on your site, please consider upgrading your hosting plan to a bigger tier.
Real dedicated servers are required only when you reach high traffic values, meanwhile of course a VPS plan would should lower the loading speeds.
Please let me know if you need any more help.

The first one seams to work better now. Thanks.
But now I have found out that I can accept or reject friends requests on the website when I change language (I use Transposh).
When the language is english everything is fine. But as soon as I switch its not possible no more.
What can I do?
Thanks
November 9, 2015 at 15:49 #86374AndreiModeratorUnfortunately this seems to be some sort of incompatibility between BuddyPress and Transposh plugin and I recommend you to contact the author of the Transposh plugin in order to make his plugin avoid such issues.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
