I’m trying to link a “Sign Up” button to the Register page I created and put into the Buddypress settings, but it keeps going to the home page.
When I look at the Register page I created in the backend, it’s empty. But when I choose “Register” from my site as if I’m a new visitor it goes directly to the correct registration page with all of the appropriate registration fields.. I’ve also tried directly copying the url of that correct Registration page to that button’s url and still not working. still going to the homepage. Any ideas? Thanks 🙂
October 20, 2015 at 14:31 #83351sharmstrModeratorThe registration, along with other BP pages are supposed to be blank. BP uses php templating to produce the pages. The pages in the WP admin are there as placeholders so you dont mistakenly use those slugs and screw everything up.
If you are logged in, you will be redirected to the home page if you try to access the registration page. Theres no reason for someone to access the registration page if they are already logged in.
