I’ve tested and the sharing on activity for Videos, MP3, and posts the activities and the sharing it works on fb,g+ and twitter but sometimes google don’t get the thumbnail, but if you press share on your g+ profile the activity permalink is shared but without picture.

I don’t have a quick answer to offer because some testing in that use case should be made and some custom snippets used in order to enable buddypress global wide. Please try to search more information in buddypress documentation or open a thread on their forum.
