The Alignment of the ‘course’ page is to the far right rather than in line with the typical page layout.

Hello, seems like you have a css issue? Did you edit theme css?
Or have you tried deactivating some plugins and testing again?

I have not edited the css. I will deactivate some plugins and try. Attached is the list of plugins.

I have resolved this by not using the ‘Visual Composer’
