I have installed WordPress in a sub-folder (wp) and while testing the album component of the Sweetdate theme i noticed uploaded images as not displaying.

The path they are showing is: …wp-content/uploads/album/1/imagename.jpg, but since it is in sub folder it should read images from: …/wp/wp-content/uploads/album/1/imagename.jpg

Can you please advise where i can update the theme to read from sub-folder?

Hi, That is related to your wordpress settings. You need to install it in you subfolder and not to move it after you have installed it somewhere else.

Try re saving options from Settings – General and Settings – Permalinks

I dont understand what your telling me to do. BP-Album is integrated into the Sweetdate theme and permalinks have been setup properly. All the other plugins are working properly, but this function, as it is searching for images at the root and not subfolder level.

I am assuming it is hard coded in plugin to path to get images from and this is why i would like to update it. Can you please provide detail on where i should be looking for this?

    Thanks

The plugin takes the path from wordpress settings. It is not hard-coded. I was telling you to try re-saving options from Settings – General and Settings – Permalinks

    Hi Abe,

I have tried that and still no luck. i re-saved the setting using default and postname, but it doesnt work.

This is the url displaying for the image: http://urbanswingster.com/wp-content/uploads/album/1/IMG_0867.jpg

but it needs to read: http://urbanswingster.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/album/1/IMG_0867.jpg

Your site you just gave me is http://urbanswingster.com/ and not http://urbanswingster.com/wp
I think you are misunderstanding something. Also the account is restricted to see anything on your site

    Hi Abe
Im not sure why there is this confusion, as i have been pretty clear about my issue. My wordpress install is located in a sub-folder (wp). When upload an image using the BP-Album it does not display, as the path is incorrect. I have checked and the image is there, but pointing to sub-folder location e.g.

Location the theme is trying to get image from:
    http://urbanswingster.com/wp-content/uploads/album/1/IMG_0867.jpg

The location the image can actually be seen: http://urbanswingster.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/album/1/IMG_0867.jpg

Can you please advise where in the code i would need to update the prefix to the path, so it reflects the true (masked) path and not the one that doesn’t actually contain uploads or system files?

It is not a permalinks issue.

    Thx

    Symon

Hi, I am here to help and you are making a confusion since your site is http://urbanswingster.com there is no way your wordpress is installed at: http://urbanswingster.com/wp

You say it is installed at http://urbanswingster.com/wp but is not
Change your urls to http://urbanswingster.com/ from Settings – General
