I am trying to create a simple “hero” slider (only one slide) with a video background that loops indefinitely, but cannot seem to make it happen. I have followed the tutorial guides and it doesn’t seem to matter if I set loop to disable, loop, slide is paused, or loop, slide does not stop.

In the video source settings, add &loop=1 to the end of the Arguments Vimeo field.

Took me awhile to figure that one out 🙂 You’re welcome.

Follow up, so now I have my slider setup like I wanted, but it doesn’t seem to work right on mobiles. All of the elements appear, but the video background doesn’t play.

On the settings, nothing is disabled, so I am not sure how it is supposed to work.

Disregard, seems like that is the ended functionality. Was hoping it would work like a gif would.

Anyone else running into this, my solution was to add a gif that was only visible to phones and tablets that would go just in front of the video bg. Works great.

Things to look out for would be: file size, as gif can run large; turn on lazy loading with the smart option, which from my understanding wouldn’t load the gif on desktops (loading time with this on dropped drastically, so I think I got this right); on image sizing, use “cover” so that it will scale properly on mobiles.
