Hi,
I’ve added a couple of pages, like a landing page, in WordPress for our BuddyPress users. These pages of course carry the same style as the rest or our website, however i’d like to add the Kleo BuddyPress icon menu (with activity, groups, messages etc) at the top of these WP pages too, so that all out Buddypress pages have the same styling.
Can someone explain how I can do this?
Thanks.
January 15, 2016 at 16:53 #98707sharmstrModeratorYou cant inject the profile menu anywhere because the Buddypress code that builds the menu determines which profile screen you’re on. Since you want to put it on a random page, it will never work. The best you can do is use the same font icons to add links to sections of the profile. The attachment shows the results on the top and how I did it in VC on the bottom.

While not perfect, that’ll be close enough.
One question now though, to link the icons through to the specific users’ respective pages how do I enter the link in the edit kleo icon options? At present the urls are like:
http://domainname.com/members/user-name/groups/
” ” /profile/ etcIf I remove the username and enter links like http://domainname.com/members/groups/ will that end up directing users to their respective content pages?
Thanks
January 18, 2016 at 13:14 #99077sharmstrModeratorOh right. I forgot about dynamic links. It cant be done without custom code. Sorry about that. There’s a plugin that allows you to put the buddypress menu wherever you want, but it hasnt been updated for a few years so not sure that it will even work: https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddymenu-buddylinks/

January 19, 2016 at 01:23 #99226MyAdvantageParticipantNo worries. I can get my developer to look at custom code when he’s back in the office. Are there any related instructions I should point him towards, or would it be pretty straight forward for him to figure out?
January 19, 2016 at 01:30 #99227sharmstrModeratorHave him download the plugin I pointed you to. I’m sure there is useful code in there.
