1. I downloaded the demo content for News-Magazine and downloaded the slider revolution demo for news-magazine, but it’s not displaying. It’s asking me (on the home page) to add at least one slide. I could just add some new slides, yes, but wondering why the demo image is not working.
2. I see that version 5.1.6 is available and I have version 5.1.3. But I am not getting prompted to update. I went to Theme Punch’s site, via their link in the dashboard, and it just tells me how to activate Slider Revolution…not update.

2 – That’s correct. Since its a bundled plugin, you need to run the version that comes with Kleo. This is also in the documentation: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/documentation/kleo#updates

Re-download the theme from Themeforest. You will find the .zip archive under the main package downloaded from Themeforest under Plugins folder. You can install the update by going to WP admin – Revolution Slider – Manul plugin update (bottom-right of the page)
a.) I don’t think I need to “re-download” the theme from themeforest, as I just bought the theme about 2 days ago. How would I already have an outdated copy? And if there was an update available, wouldn’t theme forest have the latest version for download?
b.) Isn’t the zipped copy in the main package under plugins what gets installed when the initial install is happening? So deleting the copy that got downloaded 2 days ago, then manually adding the same copy doesn’t seem to make sense.
c.) regardless of a. and b. I still followed the directions above and ended up with the same version of rev slider I just deleted, 5.1.3, as I suspected would happen.
January 22, 2016 at 14:55 #99951sharmstrModeratorI wasnt asking you to delete and reinstall. I was pointing you to the part of the documentation that explains that you run the version of bundled plugins that come with the theme and that you dont update them like you would with other non-bundled plugins. Sorry for the confusion.

January 22, 2016 at 14:57 #99954sharmstrModeratorI forgot to add that the next version of Kleo (should be available within a week) will have Rev Slider 5.1.6.

I am also getting prompted to activate visual composer, which is also saying it is installed but not activated. I followed the installation process to the t experiencing issues.
So when I go to publish the demo data from the import, it is showing as an empty sites due to these two plugins missing I imagine.
