Hi!

I just wanted to know if there was anyway to add a icon to the on the header nav that includes a message and notification icon. I’m trying to see if I can add a magnifying glass for a search feature.

Hi,

Your site it’s not public I cannot see it but if you want to have a custom icon for a menu item yo can do it from wp-admin -> appearance -> menus

Thank you for that Radu!

Unfortunately, it didn’t work. Regular links or even buddypress/buddyapp links don’t work. I tried adding links every which way and assigned an icon every time, but apart from the message and notification icon, it’s not taking anything else.

On my local install it works,

Please made a screenshot that points the menu item that you want to add an icon to it and also admin credentials in a private reply to can take a closer look at that.

Thanks for the reply!

I believe I know what the cause is: how you are applying icons and how I’m applying icons is different. I disabled many functions from BuddyApp that I didn’t need. Was that to blame? Is there a plugin being used? I have something else controlling icons it seems.

Also, this is not the most important issue. The other ticket opened up about avatar now showing up is more important. Please look at that!
