ParticipantWhen I try to edit any of the demo pages (I haven’t tried all of them) with Visual Composer I get their flashing logo over the whited-out page but never get to the actual edit screen. So far the only page I’ve actually gotten to the edit screen on is the 404 page.

KeymasterHi, Try updating your Visual composer plugin with the one included in the latest available theme version. See details here: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/steps-to-update-kleo-theme
Also try the Backend editor

ParticipantI just purchased theme version 1.4.2 and installed Visual Composer 4.1.2 from that version. The 4.1.3 version won’t install from the plug-ins page per your comments elsewhere.
The Backend editor works and the Frontend seems to work on new pages, it’s just a shame not to be able to use the Frontend on the pages you (SeventhQueen) have already put so much work into – but it’s not the end of the world.
On an unrelated topic – any reason why you didn’t add audio to the video tutorials (or am I missing something?) Helpful for us newbies.
Thanks

ParticipantI have the exact same problem. It makes the process extremely lengthy. I just downloaded the theme 2 days back. It still doesn’t work with any demo page, the same exact problem.
Any solution?
Thanks

ParticipantHi, actually the problem is much worse than I thought. I can’t even edit a page that I create with the visual editor. It kind of makes the whole point of the theme very redundant. I can’t use this on my live site if I can’t even make edits. Is there a solution that exists?

KeymasterHi @Dmarkham and @rishabhk
Please give temporary access to your site since this is a isolated case and couldn’t replicate on our testing environment. Mark the reply as private. Thanks

ParticipantHi Abe,
I changed the admin login to administrator role. Password: seventhMay 16, 2014 at 01:39 #18100Abe
Keymaster@Dmarkham a problem can be maybe because your configured url is not the actual site and it is like ip-adress/~namecpanel in Settings – General. Try to put the right values there

Keymaster@Dmarkham I just edited Feature items page and works. Can you check? I only disabled Jetpack and re-enabled it

ParticipantAbe – I wasn’t able to recreate the Feature Items page edit. I also turned Jetpack off and on. I was, however, able to get the frontend editor up on the Activate and Activity pages.
On other pages I can see the ghost image of the page come up behind the Visual Composer logo but it never (at least not for a couple minutes) gets into edit mode.
Another odd thing just happened: the toolbar is not visible at the top of the page. The space is there, and if I click in that blank space it activates like it would if I could see what I was clicking. Maybe some theme style setting?
Thanks

KeymasterI don’t say to re-create the Feature Items, just edit the imported one. Use the back-end editor for Visual composer

ParticipantI meant “recreate” in the sense that I tried to recreate your edit by also turning Jetpack on and off. I couldn’t frontend edit the Featured item page. I can backend edit
If I bought visual composer separately would it still work with your theme?

While you are at it also have a look at the comments section. People registered are having trouble with false login issues. With a profile being replicated via facebook login. It is a big issue concerning security. Please advice what needs to be done.
Thanks

Keymaster@Dmarkham buying the Visual composer would not make a difference since it is the same plugin used. Please use the Backend editor when editing with Visual composer

Keymaster@rishabhk please give me FTP temporary access too so I can do some tests on your site since I can’t replicate your issue and that would be quicker.
Until then you can use backend editor without problemHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solution -
