ParticipantGood evening,
Do I need for each test and production environments a different license? Please note, domains differ as for testing I was using a domain I already owned while for productive use I will purchase a new one.
Thanks for the clarifications.

ModeratorHello, each license is for one domain, you would need to create the staging at a sub directory of the main domain or a subdomain

ParticipantHi Laura,
Thanks for the info. As the setup today is not the one you explained is it possible to reuse the license I have with the new domain and recreate the test as a directory of the new domain? Is this technically possible or once the theme installed on a domain is not possible anymore to connect the license with the other domain?
Regards.

ParticipantHi Laura,
I have tried to follow the instructions above but I got in big trouble. What I did is following:
1. I have creating a staging site on the new domain: ex: new domain is “www.newsite.com” and the staging is “www.newsite.com/stagingsite”. This was working fine. I had just a landing page initially on both of them.
2. I wanted to transfer the content of the temporary domain to my new staging to continue there with the work. For that I was using the plugin All-in-one WP Migration. From what I was able to see and read it was the perfect choice to clone the temporary site to the staging. However, after I imported everything and I had to login I had the error on login and not able to login anymore and when I tried to recover my password I got the error that the key of the site is not valid for the domain, which is true but I need temporary to be able to do this move somehow without buying a new license.
Can you or somebody from the technical team advise how to proceed in my case?
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Laura,
Many thanks for your help. My intention is to do following:
1. From my initial domain (cristea.ch) which currently is linked with the sweetdate license I want to move the content to the new staging site (parteneridesport.ro/pdsstaging) of my new domain (parteneridesport.ro) which will be used for my project.
2. What I have tried is to move using the plugin All-in-one WP migration the content as described above. This was successfully but when I was asked to login I failed with the error that username and password is not correct. So I tried to recover my password but when I do that I got the error that the licence is not linked with the domain. I assume that this is also the reason for the failing of the initial login with admin.
So I am not sure how to proceed here to achieve my goal. Any advice/help here is more than appreciated.
Right now I removed the initial staging and recreate it. It has a default template activated (other than sweetdate) so that I can access it.
Anyway here are your credentials:
cristea.ch/wp-admin
username: sweetadmin
password: 47RNBX(Is^D6&&FnvzDA3Q&1http://parteneridesport.ro/pdsstaging/wp-admin

ParticipantHi Laura,
I have retried one more time this morning to do the move a another staging I created (http://parteneridesport.ro/pdsstaging2) after I sent the initial message to you and it worked. I need to play a little bit with the new staging to see how it works and if any error. So no help needed anymore with this.
But one question is still there, how can I relink the license key with my new domain (parteneridesport.ro)?
In case you want to check anything:

password: 47RNBX(Is^D6&&FnvzDA3Q&1Thanks for the clarifications.

ModeratorHello,try by deleting the theme at the other domain to activate it at the new one.
I am happy you could resolve it, and ofr the future,try using duplicator plugin,it gives you a zip and a install.php file so you just need to place that at the new site(without WordPress installed) and go to thewebsite.com/install.php to begin the duplication, it works greatHi there!!! ParticipantHi Laura,
I am now validating everything on the new site and fix one by one the problems. Once done I will delete the theme from my temporary domain as I need it anyway for something else.
I mark the ticket as resolved and in case of other issues I will submit a new one.
Thanks.
