Why?
September 22, 2018 at 17:32 #210155Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
Please try the following
– Update SweetDate to the latest version. Currently you’re using SweetDate 3.2.6 – the most recent version is 3.2.10
– Update any/all plugins that have updates pending in WP Admin > Dashboard > Updates
– Clear all caching at the server and WordPress level – test againIf the issue is still present check to see if the mail is being generated and if it is leaving the server or being returned as spam. You’ll need to contact your host to check this.
Let me know,
Kieran

September 23, 2018 at 11:21 #210174Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
Please can you try going to WP Admin > Tools > BuddyPress and check the option ‘Reinstall emails (delete and restore from defaults).’, then press repair items. Once this is complete clear all caches and CDN again and retry.
If this fails please see my original reply about confirming / denying if the mail is being generated or sent/ returned.
Thanks,
Kieran

September 23, 2018 at 18:09 #210209RealParticipantHello,
It’s working but even if the activating message is translated into French, I receive it in English.
Why?
Thanks,
September 23, 2018 at 18:15 #210211Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
Try going to WP Admin > Emails and check all of the emails are in your language. It is possible BuddyPress imported English versions in error (especially so if the admin account that rebuilt the emails has language set to English). You can manually translate / edit the emails there to French.
Thanks,
Kieran

September 23, 2018 at 18:58 #210212RealParticipantHello,
In the Email section, “Activate your account” email has the following message:”Thanks for registering!
To complete the activation of your account, go to the following link: {{{activate.url}}}” and I have translate it in French.
But, the message that I receive is “Thanks for registering!
To complete the activation of your account, go to the following link and click on the ‘Activate’ button: http://www.rencontreenligne.ca/about-us/BEtH7JstdIiLovusXOTSIuSF7LrdXSl8/
If the ‘Activation Key’ field is empty, copy and paste the following into the field – BEtH7JstdIiLovusXOTSIuSF7LrdXSl8”Where is that message?
September 23, 2018 at 19:02 #210213Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
If you search ‘activate’ in the Emails area of WP Admin do you have more than one email? If so translate both.
If not, then please update this ticket, in a private reply, with admin credentials for your site so I can take a look.
Kieran.

That’s very strange indeed. I will refer this ticket to one of our developers for review. They’ll be in touch with you via this ticket to discuss this BuddyPress issue as soon as they can, Monday to Friday, East European Time.
Thank you for your patience,
Kieran

September 24, 2018 at 17:20 #210295RealParticipantHello,
Is it possible that the cause of the problem is created by I adding new user (fake user) with the same browser and IP?
Thanks,
September 24, 2018 at 17:38 #210297RealParticipantHello,
I have check theme and I see that I not have Parent Theme, I try to istall it but without success.
September 24, 2018 at 17:50 #210302RaduModeratorHi,
Not sure maybe,
For the activation issue that was a issue with the buddypress plugin in the past and also with a template of our theme, so the resolution for that was updating buddypress to the latest version and also updating the theme to latest version.
IF you have rewritten activation.php file in child theme you will have to re-do it since in that file the change was done.
After you perform this if you don’t have it already you will have to re-install the emails.
For language emails thing, you cannot change the administration dash language and then to translate emails by respective lang ? IF this issue happens also using default wp theme it may be non theme thing.
Cheers

I have the last buddypress and them version.September 25, 2018 at 17:54 #210422RaduModeratorI see, wired in this case we need to test if using default theme we encounter the same issue, so just activate the twenty seventeen theme and reproduce this signup and see if activation email comes.
In this case we will found if the issue it’s caused by the theme or by the buddypress plugin itself.
Let me know

In first instance you can try to delete and re-install buddypress plugin, then check again.
IF the problem persists you will have to contact the buddypress forum support telling them that using default wp theme the activation email persist.
Cheers
