Hi,
I’m currently playing around with W3tc total cache and I’m trying to actually not letting w3tc cache some parts of buddypress and bbpress that are very dynamic, like activity,groups,forum.. is it anywhere else that should off the grid for w3tc?
Hi, you have some settings in the W3TC page cache plugin to except pages so you should enter the pages one by line to exclude.

@ SeventhQueen we do our best to have super happy customers. Thanks for being our customer.Yes, I have done that but I don’t have any idea if it’s working correctly. But by safety reason I have lowered the cache time to 500 instead 7200 if the cache is taking something from buddypress. I want to see what is happening.

@sharmstr, thank you! I think that is the major problem, the heartbeat, I will change the js, instead of disable it. But I’ll check around If it can be made a function so can change on the admin or in the child theme functions.php

@sharmstr yeah, I’m testing ajax heart control plugin in my developer site, the clone of my current site. What I can see with my Query Monitor and Query Monitor for buddypress. That some of the cron jobs and things like updates doesn’t really work as the should but it’s only warnings as the interval is change to 60. The plugin author is saying the he will put on some settings so you can tweak for yourself. Otherwise I don’t see any other problem in my testsite. Maybe things like live notifications will surely have some problems with it.
Its been awhile since I tested total cache, but the issue I had was with opening the + toggle on the buddypress profile menu.

@sharmstr I have never had problems with that and I have always had total cache on. Anyway I have still removed the toggle.
@sharmstr Well, I have found a problem. https://livepassdl.conviva.com/ver/2.88.0.23377/LivePassModuleMain.js This appears when using video mode. It seems that it loads several parts the double when you use that mode and adds time.
Also, fontello. I’m thinking of hosting them on my cdn instead of connecting to fontello, it adds time. But I’m not 100% sure, sometimes it adds time and sometimes not that much. But fewer connections is better.
