My web hosting company is requiring that I update to Slider Revolution’s latest version 4.6.5. Specifically, they emailed me:
“Slider Revolution Premium Plugin has released a new verison 4.6.5 for their plugin. A recent hack has been found in older versions of this plugin that allows an attacker to download any file from your hosting account, such as the configuration file containing the database passwords. Once the attacker has this information the attacker can comprise your website via the database.”
They require that I do this or they will disable my website. The dashboard does not show an option to update the Slider Revolution plugin. How can I update it ASAP? Thank you!

Re-download the theme from Themeforest. You will find the .zip archive under the main package downloaded from Themeforest under Plugins folder. You can install the update by going to WP admin – Revolution Slider – Manul plugin update (bottom-right of the page)
