I’m setting up a website at , when I try to use the ajax search in the menu and search for “segway” it doesn’t show any results, although there is a group about it.
When I however hit the search button, and I got redirected to , you will see in the sidebar that there is a group matching the search criteria.
So I got two questions:
- Is it possible to modify the ajax search so it will also search for members and groups, so that the results match with what the widgets are showing, or otherwise have the ajax part disabled and only have the search executed when I hit the search button.
- Is there a way to have the search page to show the search results for the groups and the members in the main area.
The search in the menu is not for members and just for site content like posts,pages. That will be changed in the near future to include also search in members in groups but right now it is not possible. Members search is done from the homepage search form

Thanks for your answer. Can you be a bit more specific about your definition of “near future”? Are we talking about x number of days/weeks/months?
