    Hi,
I have several reports of a 502 Bad Gateway – Nginx error when members are trying to log in using Mac OS 10.11 on Safari 9.

I tried using a browser emulator, with the same specs, os 10.11 safari 9, and indeed I get the same error. This only seems to appear when trying to log in from the popup modal. It does not appear when trying to log in through wp-admin.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

ps: you don’t need an account to replicate this problem, just type in anything in user/pass and hit log in, and you will get a 502 Bad Gateway.

Sorry, I didn’t test on windows cause I didn’t have that problem there before.

But, now this 502 Bad Gateway also happens on my own Windows machine here, and on all browsers, Chrome and Firefox. I can use it to login to my Admin account, but when trying a different account the error occurs.

Never mind, I contacted the WP Engine support again (after they told me it had to be a theme issue), and this time, with a different support guy, he was able to fix it. Seems their login protection was the cause.

    Sorry, marking this thread resolved.
