Account activation text

Hi

I want to change the account activation text to say to “check your junk folder for the activation email”

I see that I can change it in the activate.php file but how would I change it in the child theme.

I created the registration folder, copied the activate.php file into my child theme, edited the text but nothing changed. In fact, the register page stopped working.

How can I fix this.

Alternatively maybe you guys could make the changes in your parent theme permanently in an update.
