Account Deletion

Users cannot delete their account, the option is activated in buddypress>settings, but it still stays inactive for the user.

Hi,
The option seems to be available in Settings -> Delete account, but it needs a small adjustment that will be included in 1.4.1. When you click on the text “I understand the consequences.” it enables the button to delete the account but you also need to check the box.

I still cannot see the option to delete an account appearing on the profiles ?

You have to allow users to delete their account by going to WP admin -> Settings -> Buddypress -> Settings -> Account Deletion

Sorry to jump in here, I wonder if you found a solution. I have followed the instructions above and it does not show on the users account where they can delete their account (although I do remember seeing it before upgrading – dunno if that’s related!)

Hi, From WP admin -> Settings -> Buddypress -> Settings -> Account Deletion allow users to delete acount:

Then in user profile -> settings:

PS: Being logged as admin won’t show that in your profile
