Activation key

Hello,

When registering, users get the activation email. When clicking on the activation link, they land on a page where it says:

“Activate your account
Type a valid activation key.
Activation key: skalfjalfueroirwenvfudgcbk
Activate”

Is it supposed to be like this? The activation key is already pre-typed, but it confuses the users, cause they haven’t received any activation key.

Hi,

That is the expected and correct behaviour when clicking the activation link. If JavaScript is enabled then the key is passed from the link that was clicked, if it isn’t enabled then the user will need to enter the key manually.

As far as I know there is no safe way to disable this as it could conflict with BuddyPress’ activation process in the future.
