I am using WP 4.3.1, BP 2.3.3 and Sweet date child theme. Any plugin I want to use besides the ones mentioned before makes my activity stream in the WP dashboard disappear. I am also using bbPress 2.5.8, rtMedia 3.8.19, akismet 3.1.3 and contact form 7 v4.3. All the plugins deactivated (except Buddypress) makes my activity stream appear again, any of the other plugins activated makes it disappear again. I first thought that it was a bbpress issue only, but after systematic troubleshooting it rather seems to be a theme related issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
September 24, 2015 at 05:01 #79280LauraModeratorHello, it may be a memory limit issue, could you try adding this to wp-config.php ? Under “that’s all..”
COPY CODEdefine('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '296M');

September 24, 2015 at 19:12 #79366MoJo68ParticipantHi Laura. I followed your advice and increased the memory limit up to 512M and I set the debug setting to true and I get the following error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /hermes/bosoraweb076/b2865/ipg.skvirlcom/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-functions.php(147) : runtime-created function on line 1So it indeed seems to be a memory limit issue but it is not fixed with 512M…

PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /hermes/bosoraweb076/b2865/ipg.skvirlcom/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-xprofile/classes/class-bp-xprofile-field-type-multiselectbox.php on line 126Can it be related to the above issue or is this something else ?
Thank you for your support.September 25, 2015 at 20:49 #79521LauraModeratorHello, can you share ftp and wordpress admin credentials? 🙂

September 30, 2015 at 02:13 #79986LauraModeratorHello, i think you should contact your hosting provider about that, you have required plugins, nothing seems wrong, so this issue its related to the server, please contact them about that.

September 30, 2015 at 14:38 #80109MoJo68ParticipantHi @Laura. I already had contacted them. Instead of a shared server they are proposing a VPS plan. Do you think that is a good idea ? If so, do you have any suggestions for good VPS providers besides iPage ?
October 3, 2015 at 01:56 #80492LauraModeratorHello, i would suggest hostgator plan, because using a shared hosting you can run multiple sites, i have a shared hosting there, baby one, and have around 4 websites running perfectly 🙂
I you decide to go there, here its a coupon code: KGUMIHO25OFFHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionLaura Solanes - Graphic Designer and Web Designer
