    Hi there

I’m trying to activate the full screen mode for the mobile application.

when I add the application on my iPhone’s desktop then I open the application in full screen, but as soon as I click on a link it opens Safari.

I know that maybe relative urls could help, but I could not find one taking care also of buddypress related links.

Do you have a solution for this problem? Otherwise I will disable the option and let the mobile app open in Safari.

    Thanks

    Hi Laura
I enabled the “Add Apple mobile app capable meta tag” (see attachment).
Then I added the icon on my mobile desktop by choosing “Add to Home Screen” when clicking on the “share” button on the iPhone while visiting the page.
I read somewhere that links are usually opened in safari. So if every hyperlink in the website contains the full url and not the relative one then it opens safari.
I’m actually not sure if it’s possible to bypass this problem as I know that wordpress and buddypress don’t like relative urls. 🙂
    Thanks

Hello, they would open in safari as default, but you could try using a wordpress app generator plugin, that creates an app and loads the site inside the app, wappress is a good option, this way you would have a native app for your site

    Hi Laura!
    That sounds good!
And do you know if that tool will maintain all buddypress functionalities and maybe also the styling done on the main website?
Do you have also the link to the plugin? I found one for free and one for $19 so not sure which one is the right one or if they are the same.
    Thanks
