Add countries and cities in the profile fields

Hi,

I have three questions to ask you.

1) Is this snippet always good to apply? Can I use it to add all the countries of the world on my country profile field? Is it possible to have it with auto-completion and not dropdown?

2) Is it possible to have the same for cities, with auto-completion?

3) It will be possible one day to use a kind of Google Maps auto-completion for Country and City?

1- Which snippet? Country need to be added manually but importing profile section ads the country field autopopulated
2- Yes at sweetdate – buddypress you can setup the city auto complete
3- Already possible with cities but not country

Hi again,

Finally I enabled the city auto complete function of Sweet Date theme, and it’s working fine.

I have also tested this code to add countries, it works, but the problem is that I already have a country field (with juste 10 countries) and my current members have already chose their country.

How to add the list to the current country profile field and not add a new country profile field?

Hello, well sadly if your users already have it selected you can only do it manually. If you have not much users you can just note their current country and delete the old country field, add the new and select the same country by editing their profile from the admin panel. That or add the countries to the old country field, manually.

Sorry about that but buddypress doesn’t give us more options for this situation

There’s no SQL query that we could apply to do this? If not, no problem, I’ll do it differently.
Then, is there a way to bulk translate all the imported countries via custom code for example?

Hello, we do not edit the database in any case, and the bulk translate is an option buddypress doesnt have, sadly we can work with what we have right now
