One of my test users , and myself after I couldn’t answer the test question had a big point.
As a new user, and we all know what the average user is like 🙂 its not obvious that the ADD FRIEND in the profile means ” add me as your friend”. And below that it maybe easier for the user if the other two blocks said. Private message me and Public message me” I’m looking through the buddy press plug and can’t find this to change. Could you advise me where to change this please.We are almost done, I promise.

Those fields are generated by Buddypress and needs some intervention to change them. Not so an easy fixHi there!!! It’s not as difficult as it seems, but can be a bit tedious and time consuming if you are changing a lot of the labels. Cool thing is, you never loose the changes via updates. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found here:

I’ve used this method several times to change every Buddypress label (even on the backend).

You do not update the child theme
