Hello. I know it seems that I am asking the same question over and over again- yes I am, and the reason is because I haven’t yet received an answer to my question:
HOW does a user (not admin.) add a friend in Kleo? It seems that the user has to search for all members, and then when the list of members show up, they can go ahead and add them as friends. Problem is that only the admin. sees all the members. The regular users can’t, and on their profile page, there is no link to add a friend- there is a link to see how many friends the user has, but how can they have any friends when they haven’t yet added them?
– Also, HOW can regular users (not admin.) add groups and forums?
– Also, I still can’t add the username on the tool bar; the link you sent had no information on that.
– Also, again, how to get the activity/community/members page to show content? Right now, all I get is a blank page and they all default to this page: http://www.mommysupermodel.com/membership-account/membership-levels/.
I have searched your online documentation and forums, but I haven’t found a solution. I would greatly appreciate you help in this. Thanks in advance.
March 18, 2016 at 18:38 #111600LauraModeratorHello 🙂
Can you share admin credentials so i can check it out?
Users can create groups at the groups page, a “Create Group” link should appear, for forums, they can only create topics inside the forums tat you, the admin, created 🙂
What do you mean by “– Also, I still can’t add the username on the tool bar; the link you sent had no information on that.” Let me know 🙂If all pages redirects you there, then is because you have restricted access, check at KLEO > Memberships or just deactivate the pmpro plugin to see if that is the problem

March 19, 2016 at 20:18 #111806LauraModeratorHello, for member name, fixed, please check attached 🙂
Your buddypress pages should be fine, also membership pages,
For the profile after login , try this plugin: https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-login-redirect/
Users will be able to create groups at the groups page, also topics at the forums, but forums are only for admins at the backend. To speed the site, check this http://seventhqueen.com/blog/code-snippets/the-definitive-wordpress-speed-guide-step-by-step-easy.html
I tried to update your plugins but your website was under a scheduled maintenance, update the theme required plugins please

If this is useless please follow these steps to enable wp debug:
- Connect to your server by FTP
- Look in root directory of your WordPress install and open wp-config.php
- Search for define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false ); and change FALSE value to TRUE
COPY CODEdefine( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
- After this line add this:
COPY CODEdefine( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
WP_DEBUG_LOG is a companion to WP_DEBUG that causes all errors to also be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/ directory. This is useful if you want to review all notices later or need to view notices generated off-screen (e.g. during an AJAX request or wp-cron run).
Repeat the described actions and then check the debug.log file and let me know what error appears.
If this is useless please try to deactivate additional plugins except Visual Composer, K-elements, BuddyPress, Paid memberships pro and revolution slider.
After you have disabled the plugins try to see if the error persists.
Cheers

March 26, 2016 at 14:19 #112857gnkechioParticipantHello Laura. I had already upgraded to Kleo 4.0.4, and all the other plugins are up to date. I’am looking into enabling the wp debug configuration. In the meantime, please kindly use the admin. credentials that I sent you to look at the member, activity and community pages, as they are all still blank and users still can’t add friends, groups or topics.
I know you said that you had fixed it last time, but I never got to see that because the site crashed that same day and when it was restored, the changes you made were lost. Also, I don’t know whether the disabling of the rev. slider affected some ff the changes you made.
– I also noticed that when I allow users to register directly into the site without the activation email, I get alot of spam users. I can’t seem to find a good spam plugin that won’t negatively intereact with other plugins that I need. I am tempted to go back to using the activation email, but I understand that buddypress has a flaw in that area.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions that you might have.
Thank you.

Your problems shoube be fixed now… it was some problems, there most of required and bundled plugins un-updated, now they are updated , the revolution slider it works now i’ve installed the new version from the wp-admin -> appearance -> plugins… Laura told you to do that but you don’t…
Regarding the permission to your users you can play with the settings form here : wp-admin -> theme options -> memberships
Meanwhile i’ve deactivated WP Super Cache and Jetpack ….
I future i recommend to hire a developer to can take care and to maintain your website clean, up and running smoothly.
And also if you encounter similar problems in future i suggest you to disable all plugins except the bundled check if the problems disappear and also check for any plugin update.
Cheers

Thank you very much for the fixes on my site. The rev. slider is working well now, as well as the members, activity, group and other pages.
***But I still would like to have new members activate their membership from their email, without getting the error message that they should enter an activation code. I needed this so that I could reduce the spam users from signing up.
A little suggestion for the future:
– Users still can’t add friends from their wall; they can only see their current friends. It appears that Kleo doesn’t support this feature for now. Please consider adding this in future updates.Sir, I want to express my appreciation for the support that you give your clients. Kleo is a beautiful and well-designed theme and your commitment to helping your clients get their sites to function properly makes your professionalism even more admirable. I will continue to recommend the Kleo theme to even more people. Keep up the good work.
Kind regards.
April 25, 2016 at 18:06 #118808RaduModeratorHi,
You’re welcome
Regarding the email problems i think is server related you can ask them if limits somehow the wp_mail function, anyway try to use this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ play with the settings there.
Regarding the suggestion and i will consult with the team about that.
Thank you for the compliments
Have a nice week

Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionJuly 25, 2016 at 04:11 #130002gnkechioParticipantHello. I am having a weird situation with my site- the members, activity and community pages all went blank again. ( I had this problem before, but one of your team members helped me. I had to provide admin. access). Also, it shows that the Buddy press plugin is not installed- but it is. And when I try to install it again, it says that the link for that plugin already exists. Please give me some pointers on what to do. Thank you.
July 25, 2016 at 05:00 #130007gnkechioParticipantHello. my Kleo theme is showing that I do not have the buddypress plugin installed, eventhough it is. As a result, the members, group, activity and community pages are all showing blank. I had this problem before and one of your 7th queen team members helped me fix it- I gave them admin. access. can you please tell me how to fix this? Please see the error message below. Thank you.

Plugin not activated. A higher version of Buddypress is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.
July 25, 2016 at 16:57 #130085RaduModeratorHi,
In fist instance you should have Visual composer and K-elements plugins updated ! Check for those in wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins -> check for update button under Visual Composer name and K-elements also.
If the update button appear under these update it and check again the member and groups pages etc..
Regarding the buddypress update problem, you should use FTP client and go to wp-content/themes/plugins and to delete the buddypress folder then you should install again the plugin.
Cheers
