Hello.  My users keep getting an error message when they click on the link that was sent to their email to activate their new account.  I have activated the “Emails” pages but I keep getting this error message.  It worries me that many potential users of my site have been turned away because they couldn’t get into the site. I have attached the error message below.

    – Also, I still can’t see my user’s account name on the tool bar.  The only way that subscribers get to see their timeline is if they click on their username that is on the side bar or bottom of the page- but many users will not know that they are supposed to do that, so they might not get to see best part of my site.

    – Also, how do the subscribers add groups, forums and friends?  I don’t see a link for the subscribers.  The only person that is able to add groups is the admin.  but even the admin. can’t even add friends!

-Also, only the admin. can see all the members; it appears subscribers can only see their friends and their friends’ timeline.  Am I correct, and is this the default?

    Invalid activation key.

Please provide a valid activation key.

Have a look at this topic regarding activation: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/register-problem#post-109179

You need to add My Account to your main menu and add ##member_name## in the title attribute to show their username: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/documentation/kleo#menus

Do have everything setup in buddypress? Settings > Buddypress and Settings > Buddypress > Options?

When you are viewing the activity feed, make sure you have All Members selected instead of My Friends.

Thank you, but you didn’t answer my question on how users (subscribers) can add friends, groups, topics, forums, or send a private message. I have activated all these options, but still can’t see a link that allows users to do the above tasks. Even in your demo, I donot see a link to add friends, groups or forums. I know how to add groups as an admin., but how can the regular user do this? The admin can even add friends.
    – Also: where is the title attribute? The current version of Kleo is a little different from documentation link that you sent ( https://archived.seventhqueen.com/documentation/kleo#menus).

Thanks in advance for your time.

Apologies. I wasnt intentionally not answering your questions. I just assumed that you didnt have those options enabled since you didnt see them on the front end and that once you enabled the options you’d see where to do all of the things you’re asking about.

You can add friends and send private messages by clicking on those buttons. The buttons are located in the main members directory and on the users profile page. You can also send messages my typing in a friends name in the to field when composing a message. I suggestion list will pop up as you type.

If you’ve enabled it, users can create groups from the group directory page by clicking on “Create Group”.

Topics are created by going either in the forums or group forums.

All of this information is in the Buddypress documentation which I strongly suggest that you read if you’re going to be the admin of a BP site: https://codex.buddypress.org/ https://codex.buddypress.org/administrator-guide/

    Menus havent changed. See attached.
