admin login

I can see in my activity that many attempts are being made to try and login to the admin account. I hav emade the password very secure but am worried that someone might use hacking software to login to the admin account. Is there any way I can make it mor esecure and if someone does login to the admin account can I prevent them deleting my admin account and freezing me out of the admin login. I want to just prevent a possible future problewem as I am worried taht there are ongoing attempts to try and hack in to my admin account.
