Ajax Search

Hi,
for some reason my Ajax Search stopped working… I looked at my files I downloaded after I bought Kleo and I tried to find the search-plugin to reinstall it. – and I can’t find it.

Please, what do I have to do to reinstall just the Ajax Search?

Hi,

The ajax search it’s part of theme core it’s not modular, do you have installed recently some plugin ? if yes, de-activate it and check again

Do you have some js errors in chrome browser console ?

Thanks for your reply… I have reinstall the template in the end and it works.
However, I can’t see it in widgets… how can I have it in different places?
(if there isn’t widget for it, can you give me the line of code please?)

Hi,

You can have a ajax search wherever you want using this shortcode in text widget and the search form will be rendered there.

[kleo_search_form context="members,groups,post,page,forum,product,portfolio"] or this
[kleo_search_form]

You can add this on any page or sidebar that you need

Sorry, one more question…
can I use the Ajax Search in other than Kleo templates? We have selection of templates for front end user, but the Ajax doesn’t work there… on the core TwentyFifteen template to be precise.

Hi,

Kleo search item it’s not a plugin that you can simply download and upload so no, i recommend you to search in wordpress plugin directory for a such of plugin.

However, since it’s already in my system, it should be possible to have it in different parts of the site… with the right line of code. Could you give me that line please?

This is regarding the Kleo.
I have bought it for its features – including the ajax search – which I naively thought is a plugin with widget.
All I’m asking is, how to make the Ajax search work on the same website as Kleo is but different template…To elaborate:
we will use Kleo for main page – however, we are giving users the option to select super simple template – for this we use 2015 core wordpress site. … if we have the [kleo_search_form] there – the ajax does’t show… so, I would appreciate if you can kindly tell me how we can make the kleo ajax search to work there too.
(Also, I’m not talking about multisites, this is still the same website with the possibility to choose simple 2015 template)

There is no quick solution to solve this, it’s not a quick and easy copy paste code…. there are log of dependencies html js and css.
