Allow user to choose their display name

Is there a way to Allow the user to choose if they want to show their NAME or their USERNAME?

I know I can do this as an ADMIN going inside each user PROFILE and changing this in the DISPLAY NAME drop down. But it will be nice if the user can do this them self.

Is there a way to accomplish this?
