"Are you sure you want to do this" error on theme install

I’m not a n00b when it comes to installing WP themes, so I’m pulling my hair out on this one. 🙂

Trying to install the KLEO theme on a fresh WP installation. Downloaded the “Installable WordPress file only” file from ThemeForest, and when I try to upload via the “If you have a theme in a .zip format, you may install it by uploading it here” interface in wp-admin, but I just get an error of “Are you sure you want to do this?”

So I downloaded the “All files and documentation” downloaded zip. Used 7Zip to extract the themes, because the built-in windows extraction program complained of not being able to extract them “encrypted” (wondering if that’s contributing to the issue). Files appear fine. Upload them using FileZilla to the /wp-content/themes dir, so that their respective locations are:

/www/vhosts/example.com/htdocs/wp-content/themes/kleo

and

/www/vhosts/example.com/htdocs/wp-content/themes/kleo-child

Ownership and permissions of both dirs match the other theme dirs (twentyfifteen, twentyfourteen, and twentythirteen).

However, the theme does NOT appear in the wp-admin themes interface (I only see the three defaults).

I can go into the dirs and see the style.css files. But WordPress refuses to “see” my new theme and child theme.

Ideas?

Got it fixed. Still don’t know what the problem was regarding the .zip install, but as for the problem with the FTP uploaded files… I was (DOH!) uploading it to an outdated directory location for the site and had forgotten that I’d moved the webroot in httpd.conf. THAT’S what happens when you mess with this stuff late on a Sunday night. 🙂

Theme installed and looking pretty darn good.

I have the same “Are you sure you want to do this” error.
I first tried to upload the zip “themeforest-6776630-kleo-next-level-wordpress-theme”.
Then support told me to upload “Kleo” zip in the wordpress file but I get the same error.
Can u help me please ?

Hello, try using ftp, it dosnt give that error, find ftp in your hosting or try the cpanel filemanager
