Automatically Assigned Member Type

Hi!

When a user registers with the KLEO BuddyPress Registration Form:
https://www.christelijk-podium.nl/gegevens-lidmaatschap/registratie-en-upgrades/

A Member Type (Techneut) is automatically assigned. I don’t know what exactly this Member Type is related to, but it seems as if though it’s somehow connected to the WordPress role Subscriber, since I have set this as the default Role a user should get, when registering.

What happens now, is that on the home page (https://www.christelijk-podium.nl) I have a tab function for the different Member Types (Artiesten, Sprekers, Technici, Organisatoren), a new registered user, with this automatically assigned Member Type (Techneut), seems to appear in all 4 Member Types tabs, even though 1 Member Type has been automatically assigned to it.

What can I do to make sure that a user that registers through this KLEO BuddyPress form is not being assigned a Member Type by default, because a user who registers through this form, should not have a Member Type in the first place.

Did you encounter the same using default wp theme ?

Maybe it’s realted to this buddypress setting ?

Check in wp-admin -> settings -> buddypress -> options

Hi Radu,

I haven’t tried it with the default wp theme, I’m afraid I will mess up the site, if I do that.

I do not have the options you marked red in your printscreen. See attachment. Are you using a plugin for that?

do you know if this plugin also allows users to register, without chosing a Member Type? Because that’s also what I want to make possible.
