My problem is in regard to adding a link in the Membership Level>Description in Paid Memberships Pro. When I go to Memberships>Edit there is an HTML editor to edit the Description text, so I highlight the text where I want to add the link, Enter the destination URL, add the Title, and save it by clicking Add Link. The problem is that when a website visitor clicks the link in the membership description text on the Memberships page (../membership-account/membership-levels/), “membership-account/membership-levels/\” is automatically being added in front of my desired link URL, so users always arrive at a 404 error page instead of the intended page.

Please provide me with a solution to the bad URL problem in the link, or a work around, or anything to make the link actually work. I’ve already tried to find help from the people at Paid Memberships Pro, but so far I have not received any solution. Please help.

Hi, I think I already answered this somewhere else so please don’t post same question twice.
your link should be added like “http://site.com/mypage.html” instead of “mypage.html”

    Dear Abe,

Your suggestion of adding “http://site.com/mypage.html” instead of “mypage.html” does not work. If you would kindly test it on your Sweet Date test site, you’ll see that it doesn’t work and hopefully by actually testing the problem yourself, you will be able to find an actual solution.

Having links in the membership descriptions is basic functionality and would allow Sweet Date purchasers to link to a more expanded description of memberships that require more explanation. At this point that function is broken. I’m sure that many Sweet Date purchasers would like to have this working properly. Please take a moment to fix this problem as this will make an already great theme even greater. Thank you.

Indeed, I will try to debug and it is probably something related to PMPRO plugin

    Abe,

I’m really happy that you’re going to debug this. It will be an important bug fix for me and probably for many other people that are using this. Thank you!

it seems to be something wrong in the pmpro logic. to work you should add your links without quotes like this:

    <a href=http://google.com target=_blank>lev 1 desc</a>
