I’m having this odd issue where ‘subscribers’ can’t open a forum topic. When they click the topic name they’re immediately directed to ‘reply to topic.’ -which they can do and which is then visible to them (but still not the original topic post or any replies by someone else.) If I log in as admin (moderator) everything is visible as expected.
Ideas? I have not yet gone through the (tedious) process of disabling plugins on the off chance something else is going on.
I have Buddypress disabled.

It’s odd because the issue is related to WP roles, not forum roles or membership level – only admin sees topics created by others. But if I disable PmPro User Pages plugin everything seems fine.I don’t know enough code to tell much from looking at the plugin (except that my user pages don’t seem to display everything the plugin implies – maybe that’s a hint?). I’m going to try a few different scenarios to see if I can narrow it down further.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
