I spent the last two days struggling to get forums to work on my installation.  Apparently the current version of BBPress is incompatible with Php 7. I had to get the RC beta 2.6 to resolve the issue since I dont want to go through the trouble of downgrading.

I’m just putting it out there in case someone also comes up with the same issue.

I got the answer from this thread https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/php-version/

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with bbPress and PHP. It does appear that bbPress is not 100% compatible with PHP 7 as of yet, but one if their contributors and plugin author robin-w has suggested a change to a main plugin file that may fix it (see step 3).

Whilst editing main plugin files is not recommended it would appear relatively safe to do so as the next plugin update will address the PHP 7 issue.

Let me know how this goes,

    Kieran.
