How can I do the following on the birthday field?

    1) Remove the birth year so this isn’t displayed on the users profile. For example: “10 January” instead of “10 January 1980”.

    2) Display the users age in brackets next to the users name. For example: “John Doe, 31”

    Thanks

    hi try this
install the plugin Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type

then in the user fields you can chose a new field type birthdate
there is an option to display age instead

    hope this helps

Hi @Leap-it solution is easier since yours require some intervention from a developer

How can I show the label “Age” on front end profile instead of “Birthday”?
On registration the label is Birthday as it should.
I think I have options correctly selected (see attached screenshots)

    Thanks

Another issue I noticed is that the inferior age selected does not recognize the XProfile Bithdate field. I have 18 as inferior age but the date selector year starts at 2013 whereas the normal date selector field the year started at 1996.

The label you see in the Sweetdate – BUddypress is used for the search form.

That is the normal behavior to show the Field name. Try renaming you field to Age instead of Birthday

What date selector? the 18 inferior age is only related to the search form for the Age range field
