Hi – I installed your theme (love it by the way) and began customizing it.  Everything worked fine initially. After some time – things started to break – especially when I upgraded Buddypress and started adding new users.  Namely the profile pages began showing blank and I could not see register/activate pages.

Can you tell me which version of Buddypress you use on the demo – that one seems to work… The new one (2.6.1) breaks a lot.  In fact, I even did a fresh install with JUST buddypress/buddyapp – and it was still breaking (blank pages for profile/register/activate).  I switched to the default theme and everything works – so it’s definitely a theme issue.

I’ve already tried disabling all plugins – no effect (minus buddypress of course).  The register/activate pages are set within Buddypress settings as well and they “anyone can register” checkbox is checked.

I’m fairly advanced – so this is beyond beginner fixes in my mind.  I develop sites frequently and I’ve used Kleo’s themes in the past and Buddypress so I’m familiar with the process.

At the very least I’d like to rollback to the proper Buddypress version you use in the demo to see if that fixes it.  Let me know!

I did manage to get my profile view back by removing the custom code. But the activate/register pages are still broken (blank)

    Hi,

I saw that you are using wpengine try to implement this : https://archived.seventhqueen.com/documentation/kleo#wp-engine

Also try to update buddypress to latest version

I don’t think is a theme bug because the registration/activation pages works on my install with latest version of buddyapp.

    Let me know

    Cheers

I’ll check on PHP version – that code you mentioned is already installed.

Any updates? It’s gotta be something simple… perhaps more WPEngine related issues?

Hi, I just deactivated a few plugins and your register page works. See the attach 🙂

So I guess is not theme related after all. Changing the 1 star rating will be nice 😉

Your register page crashes when installed and activated Progress Map by Codespacing. You said you disabled all plugins and tested.

WPengine uses varnish and a lot of caching mechanism so the register page if cached for some time so disabling plugins won’t really show which one was the issue.
You need to clear cache from this page after each plugin deactivation or site changes

By doing that it seems like the issue is actually Gravity Forms User Registration Add-On

It was tricky because of the cache to see which plugin actually was causing it but if you follow my advice above you will be able to check things on the future.

    Cheers
