Block free members of posting but not of viewing.

I want to make it so free members can watch everything on the site, but can’t post.

For example when they view someone’s profile they can see everything, but they cannot contact them unless they pay.

any way to do this?

You probably have to change buddypress wall template files and show specific content only to some users:
<?php if ( pmpro_hasMembershipLevel(array(1,2))) { ?> content <?php } ?>
