    So,

I tried installing an older version of Buddypress, activate the default WordPress theme, and remove all plugins that might cause the issue but nothing helped… It is still not possible to accept a friend request… The request is there and the buttons accept and decline are visible, but when you click on them nothing happens.

You clicked on accept for a friend request and it worked? I tried it on all browsers available, different devices and asked other people to add friends and it never worked.

    What did you do?

It still doesn’t work for me nor any other users…

    Hi,
Yes, i just logged in with your provided credentials clicked on profile then friends and then requests and accept.. works from once.

    Empty the cache..

Make sure to have buddypress 3.1

When it not works try to open the accept friendship button link in a new tab see what error it gives you.

    Cheers

It doesn’t work even when i remove my entire caching system and delete all cache and cookies in the browser. However, when I click open in new tab it works… slowly, but it works. But it still doesn’t work when you simply click on accept. (except for you apparently).

    Hi,
Did you had tried to ask that on buddypress forums ?

Did you have buddypress 3.1 ? If yes or not try to delete it and to install it again fresh, also if you deactivate all plugins except buddypress it works ? (try to re-save permalinks from wp-admin -> settings -> permalinks ) then check again

This not it’s a theme issue if you get the same using random theme it seems to be directly related to Buddypress

    Cheers

I found the plugin that caused the issue… The problem is caused by the WOOCOMMERCE plugin. I tried it also with only buddypress, woocommerce, and all related plugins to the theme activated only… and it still didn’t work. But when i deactivate woocommerce… it works…

    How can I fix this?

Hmm, that’s wired, try the next

    1. You have the same issue if you leave woocommerce plugin activated and child theme OFF ?

    2. You have the same issue if you leave woocommerce plugin activated and you activating default wp theme ?

    1. Yes
    2. Yes

I’ve tried this before but I tried it again… Doesn’t work with any theme.

That it meaning the issue has nothing to do with our theme.

If you had deleted and installed again the buddypress and you have same issue not sure what to advise you, try to ask the same on the bp forums.

Make sure to have friends connection component activated under wp-admin -> settings -> buddypress –

    Cheers

Maybe this error I got from debug.log has something to do with the issue?

    Hi,

Those errors not sure if they are related to your current issue, you said the issue happens also using any other theme
For the activation issue in buddypress that was a bug on 3.0 version of buddypress if i remember correctly but this was solved on their new release.

Also we had released a new theme updated fixing the same as buddypress regading the activation on our templates. So if you will run latest releases of buddypress and our theme this issue should no more persits.

Make sure to regenerate the emails from wp-admin -> tools-> buddypress -> emails, click all and repair all.

It’s very important to update also our theme and buddypress !! Also if you had rewritten the activation.php file in child it’s mandatory to re-do it. In first instance if you had done it try whiteout child theme.

    Cheers
