buddypress album – how to install

Hi – I can’t seem to upload any photos to my buddypress album. I upload the photo but although the photo title and description appear – the photo doesn’t appear. You can check out this user profile http://bananalust.com/members/leah-derus/album/

I searched the forum here before emailing you. I saw some posts about bp-album, something about pretty photo and something about rtl media.

Could you please explain what I need to do to get the basic bp-album working – and what is the rtl media?

that’s strange. do you see your files in wp-content/uploads/album? that’s where they should upload to.

rtMedia is a alternative plugin for media uploading just like bp-Album. You can choose one of those to use.

bp-Album should work out of the box. It is a problem with your links. Maybe you have a plugin interfering. Try re-saving the settings in Settings – Permalinks. Try the rtMedia plugin

The files are uploading to bananalust.com/album/1 – for me the super admin but the number changes with the user id….

Your files normally should go under wp-content/uploads/album
