Hi,
I am having real trouble with my buddypress integration.
The site is http://www.vineshare.com.auI can connect well to profile pages under, http://vineshare.com.au/members-2/alissiagalbraith/profile/
and use all the features under the members-2
I cant however link my buddpress pages of groups etc.
I can see them in settings>buddypress>pages>show
I have linked the pages as instructions, but the functionality of inviting friends, creating groups etc etc just doesnt work. I have clicked anyone can become members and allowed group creation etc.
I dont know if I have missed something simple or if something major going wrong here.
Please help!Thank you.
June 9, 2015 at 05:19 #61648sharmstrModeratorYou’ve got something screwed up somewhere. Your buddypress pages should be blank when viewing them via wp admin > pages. They are just placeholders bp uses. Secondly, (i’ve seen people make this mistake), they should be all be parent pages. Third, the get rid of members-2. It should just be members.
Your groups page is /groups-2/ (http://vineshare.com.au/groups-2/). Change that to groups.
Your activity page looks fine http://vineshare.com.au/activity/
As far as things not working, have you turned everything on in Settins > BP > Components?

June 9, 2015 at 05:42 #61650vineshareParticipantHi.
Thanks for this.
I have made the following changes suggested:
1. Members 2 to members
2. Groups 2 to groups
3. All setting and configurations are on and correct.Still not working.
In regard to the parent pages – what parent pages should these be?
Is there anything else i can try?
Cheers,June 9, 2015 at 05:45 #61651vineshareParticipantI also cant invite people by email to become registered etc..
Is this connected to the issue?
I am wondering what else I am missing. How would I know?

Parent page are first level pages. All you pages appear to be working fine.

June 9, 2015 at 07:29 #61659sharmstrModeratorThere is a create groups link on the group directory page. The groups page in your profile only list groups you are a members of. There is no way to invite people to register for the site via email. Go to the link I sent you before and read up on BP. This is all basic BP stuff and not really Kleo related. Kleo only stylizes BP.

June 9, 2015 at 08:00 #61662sharmstrModeratorhttp://vineshare.com.au/groups Please read the BP documentation. This is basic BP stuff and really has nothing to do with Kleo.
You add links into your menu like you would anything else. WP-admin > Appearance > Menus. If you dont see the BP and Kleo sections, enable them by clicking screen options in the upper right.

June 9, 2015 at 08:06 #61663sharmstrModeratorSpend some time on the demo. That should help you familiarize yourself as well: http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/home-default/
