It seems, when a page is assigned to Buddypress registration, it simply wipes out all of the content on the page and replaces it with the registration form.

Is there a way to set-up a page (in Visual Composer) and designate an object (div, VC row, whatever) for the form to be “dropped into” instead of replacing all of the content? (like a shortcode?)

The work around would be kleo-child/buddypress/members/register.php and drop an entire page in there, but that has the negative impact of the page no longer being editable by average garden-variety wp users/admins.

Hello, that is not available right now, the only way is editing the file at the child theme

    Thanks for your reply.

I did find [bbp-register] which is a mini sign-up (user name and email only), presumably related to BBpress. Not quite what I need, but I leave this here for others that might find it useful.

I do notice here https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/registrationlogin-form-on-the-front-page/#post-97806 that there was supposed to be a 4.0 released in January, that will contain “functionalities like login and register shortcode”.

Any idea on when this is hitting the ground? I’d rather not re-code register.php, to find 4.0 released the next day, rendering the work wasted.

Also, is there some complete list of shortcodes? In Visual Composer, text block settings, I find the Kleo menu that has “Content Elements” and “Buddypress”, but I don’t know if those are all of them or just most common ones. It would be helpful if there were a reference sheet somewhere.

    Thanks!

Hello, KLEO shortcodes at visual editor are the ones available at the theme
About the 4.0 it will be there soon, if you dont want to lose changes, save the file at child theme

Laura – In another thread, a different moderator mentioned there are more shortcodes than available in the dropdown. That’s why I asked.

In terms of the not wanting to build the page twice, it wasn’t “not wanting to loose changes”. It was not wanting to build the page first in child/register.php, then build it a day?week?fortnight? later in Kleo 4.0.

But it seems the only answer for 4.0’s arrival now is “soon”.

So, questions have been addressed as well as possible, so I’m marking thread as “Resolved.” Thanks!

Hello, 4.0 is very, very soon. So you will see it, if you prefer to wait a bit 🙂

Ah! It’s been upgraded from “Soon” right past “Very Soon” to “very very soon”. That’s great news!

    Thanks for letting me know!

Is there an (public) expected feature list (a forum post maybe I missed?), or will we just have to wait until release for the new functionality?

I ask because, of course, current development will be affected, and I might not want to work on hand-rolling my own solutions, if they are just going to be baked-in to 4.0

    Answered my own question:

    https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/kleo-updates-change-log/#post-19544

Also, found out themeforrest gave me an old (3.1.3) version for whatever reason. Glad I checked.

    Thanks!

I got it from the API as the themeforest download is still doing 3.9.1.

Is the documentation for new feature available somewhere (that isn’t dependent up Theme Forest)?

Also, the updated plug-ins would only be in the themeForest download?

FWIW, at first I couldn’t understand what “after updating you will need to re-save theme options” meant, as all of my theme settings *seemed* to be okay.

But I kept checking and my fonts were reset, and the wp-admin bar was turned back on. Otherwise it looks like my settings were retained.

UPDATE: Found the ability to update the plug-ins under APPEARANCE->INSTALL PLUGINS

But still looking for documentation on new features.
