    Hello,

We’re having some problems regarding the use of groups, and its member management in BuddyPress.

We do not want to enable friend relationships, but we still want to use the group functionality. Right now, when friend relationships is disabled, the link to invite members disappears. Why is that? Why can’t we invite people that are not friends?

This limits private groups completely, as people cannot join since it’s private, and people cannot invite since we disabled friend relationships. What’s the point in having private groups with no one?

Another question I have is: is there anyway to add new users to certain groups automatically? Or at least let the user creator (admin, in this case) decide which groups they start in. Right now we have to go to each group manually and type their username again and again.

    Thank you for your attention.

    Sincerely,

    Renato Yuji Toyama
