Suddenly I can no longer change my admin password nor the password of others. I can still change their roles. When I click on New Password in the User section nothing happens.
February 17, 2016 at 14:11 #104286sharmstrModeratorKleo doesnt touch that. You can try enabling the WP 2015 theme to see if you’re able to do it then. And you should look for plugin conflicts.

February 17, 2016 at 16:05 #104329ale7qParticipantI activated WP 2015 theme and I could change passwords.
I reactivated Kleo child and now I have 3 warnings to update plugins and still could not change passwords. I have uninstalled all plugin other than those that come with Kleo — I think.
February 17, 2016 at 17:59 #104350sharmstrModeratorKleo 3.9 was just released.
Before updating, try the same test again, this time with the Kleo parent enabled.

February 17, 2016 at 18:01 #104352sharmstrModeratorAlso, to clarify, the problem is in WP Admin > Users, right? Not in the bp profile on the front-end?

February 17, 2016 at 18:11 #104358ale7qParticipantYes the problem is in the WP Admin>Users.
Just to be sure, I will need to deactivate the child first before enabling the parent, right?
February 17, 2016 at 18:17 #104360sharmstrModeratorNo. Just enable the parent. It will automatically disable the child.
What we are trying to determine now is if its any issue with code in your child theme.

February 17, 2016 at 19:42 #104401ale7qParticipantChanged to parent but still could not change password.
I put back the backup from Feb 1, 2016 when WP was only 4.4.1 or older that the current version. I still could not change password. So it means this problem has been there for so long most likely. I never found out about it because my site is still under construction up to now so I never had a chance to change password.
Another strange thing is that I tried again WP 2015 and I could no longer change password. Of course I could no longer recreate the exact condition when I tried it successfully the first time.
My site now runs on the latest WP with minimal plugins. Still can’t change password.
Is there a setting in WP that can disallow me to change password>
February 17, 2016 at 19:45 #104404sharmstrModeratorNot that I’m aware of. Respond privately with credentials and I’ll have a look. Since you’re still in dev mode I can turn stuff on and off without concern, right?

February 17, 2016 at 20:35 #104415ale7qParticipantSorry mate. It is working but the process got changed. Confused by the fact the the new password button is clickable although it does not work on my site at least ( I don’t know for others. To change password just generate a new password or input a new one into the Right Side text box and click Update Profile or something. The password will change. I only tried it one time but it worked.
