Cannot get favicon to display

I have uploaded a favicon ico file to the theme assets/images/icons file but it does not display even after clearing the cache.

Please investigate. Thanks. Great theme by the way, even if I have altered it suit my needs.

Hello, the favicon is in general settings of the theme, do need to upload any file to icons
